Village Day in Vrbice

Vrbice is a village in the South Moravian wine-growing region of the Czech Republic. To strengthen the sense of community, the village day is held every year, where the local male choir and musical representatives of the younger generations perform. The culinary experience includes Czech goulash, beer and homemade desserts.

Vrbice is a picturesque village in the heart of the Blue Mountains and the Hustopečsko microregion. It is the second highest village in the Břeclav district. The Stráž cellar site with the Church of St. Giles welcomes visitors from afar. Blooming in spring, beautifully green in summer, colorful in autumn and nostalgically relaxing in winter. On the surrounding slopes, golden or ruby wine ripens, which each winemaker pampers in his cellar so that it is pleasing to the eye, nose and taste. Unique cellars, dug in sandstone rock, weave through the Stráž hill on seven floors.

On behalf of the Budapest Cultural Center, international cultural referent Krisztián Bakó took part at the village day in Vrbice.
