Language Cards for More Than Just Adult Learning
As previously reported, 15 members of the Vadvirág Senior Citizens’ Club in Csobánka spent a week in Włocławek, Poland, at the end of June this year as part of the Erasmus+ project “Future Tense: Everyone Deserves a Pen-Friend.” During their stay, the Hungarian senior citizens worked together with members of the local senior citizens’ club to create language-learning memory cards, which have now arrived at the Budapest Cultural Center.
We are helping distribute the English-language learning card sets, entitled “See & Say” and “In Your Future I Can See,” to twenty Hungarian cultural institutions so that others, beyond those directly involved in the project, can also experience the benefits of art-based learning.
The project was implemented in line with the objectives and priorities of Erasmus+ adult education, particularly in promoting inclusion, digital transformation, and high-quality, learner-centered non-formal adult education. During the international mobility, the participating partner organizations used creative methods to foster intergenerational learning. One of the project’s key objectives was to demonstrate how collaborative and intercultural learning approaches can be used as an alternative to traditional adult education models.
The successful implementation of the project was also supported by the Budapest Cultural Centre, which provided technical equipment, while our institution’s international referent personally participated in the delivery of the programme.
The project was funded by the European Union, under the project ID: 2025-1-PL01-KA210-ADU-000350566.
