Zlín Film Festival

The 65th International Film Festival for Children and Youth was held in Zlín in the Czech Republic between May 29 and June 4, 2025. It is the oldest festival of its kind in the world, and its scope, history and tradition are unparalleled on an international scale.

The Zlín Film Festival offers a comprehensive presentation of contemporary global filmmaking for children and youth, and the program structure has a clearly and comprehensibly set profile: a festival of films in which children and adolescents are the main focus. It makes titles accessible to children's audiences that, due to their territorial origin, but also due to their non-commercial focus, they do not have the opportunity to see elsewhere. Every year, it presents almost 300 films from almost 50 countries, which are accompanied by film delegations from all over the world. It is a natural center for international networking in the field of film for children and youth, where, in addition to film delegations, professionals from distributors, sales agents and festival representatives also go.

On behalf of the Budapest Cultural Center, international cultural referent Krisztián Bakó visited the Zlín Film Festival.
